We bring women together in a safe and supportive environment where they can learn, connect with others, exchange experiences and support one another. We believe that women’s experiences, knowledge and ideas are valuable and can contribute to positive change in their communities.

Through study groups, targeted projects, seminars, networking, mentoring and other learning activities, we create opportunities for women to develop their knowledge and skills, build confidence and strengthen their participation in society.

Our work focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for women to learn, grow and build connections. We listen to women’s needs and work together with them to develop activities that support personal development, social participation and new opportunities in life.

HAAWO also works with organisations and partners locally and internationally to build bridges between women, communities and different cultures. Through cooperation and shared learning, we aim to contribute to a more inclusive society where women have greater opportunities to participate, develop their potential and shape their own future.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support women through knowledge, community and opportunities, and to create conditions where every woman can participate, develop and reach her full potential.

Our Values

Women’s Rights

We work to strengthen women’s ability to understand and claim their human rights. We promote women’s empowerment and encourage women to have a stronger voice in society.

Gender Equality

We work for a society where women and men have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities in all areas of life.

Gender equality also means that every person should have the freedom to shape their own life and should not be treated differently because of their gender.

Mutual Integration

We believe integration is a two-way process. It is built through dialogue, participation, mutual respect and understanding between people from different backgrounds.
